The small village of Trapiche is located 30 km from Málaga and an easy 6 km drive from the coast at Torre del Mar. The fertile terrain lends itself to the cultivation of crops such as mangoes, avocados and other fruits which can be seen growing in abundance as far as the eye can see. The popular Country Farmers Market is held every Tuesday and people flock from miles around to meet up with friends and peruse the wide variety of goods for sale at the large number of stalls. The village also boasts a number of good restaurants and it is home to the Axarquía airfield.
