Nerja

The fabulous coastal town of Nerja is located 50km east of Málaga but with excellent motorway access, it is just approx one hour from the airport.  Nerja manages to retain its Andalucían charm despite the vast numbers of tourist that flock here every year.  A year round resort, it also attracts many visitors during the winter months.  With an active community, there are numerous activities taking place throughout the year aimed at all sections of the population and there are lots of clubs, societies and organisations run by and for the predominantly British ex-pat community. 

A feature of the old part of the town is the attractive narrow cobbled streets which are full of interesting and individual shops.  The stunning Balcon de Europa is a superb place from which to soak up the ambiance of this lively town whilst enjoying the glorious surrounding scenery.  Next to the Balcon is the main square where there are many restaurants and cafes and the beautiful Parish Church can also be found here.  There is so much to enjoy in Nerja and there is something for everyone – fabulous beaches and a diverse range of shops, bars and restaurants catering for every taste.  The town is the perfect place to chill out with its cosmopolitan and yet relaxed atmosphere.
