The delightful village of Riogordo is situated 46 km inland from Torre del Mar and 39 km from Malaga. Surrounded by spectacular countryside and undulating olive groves, the village retains many examples of its Moorish origins and it oozes Spanish charm.
Riogordo has plenty of facilities for residents and visitors alike including banks, supermarkets, a good selection of bars, a restaurant, municipal swimming pool, primary school, chemist and a wide variety of shops. Coming soon to the village will be a fire station and a 24 hour medical centre.
During the Semana Santa, Easter Week, passion plays are staged as part of the festivities and these attract many visitors from far and wide. The village also lies on the beautiful Route of Olive Oil and Mountains.
