Torrox Pueblo is a traditional Andalucian white village just 4 kilometres inland from the coastal resort of Torrox Costa. It is a typical mountain village built on a steeply sloping hillside and with flower filled winding streets leading to hidden squares and quiet corners.

The village has several bars and restaurants and of course all the facilities of the coast are just a couple of minutes' drive away. It is not a particularly ‘touristy' spot but it is popular with Northern Europeans, many of whom have chosen to make a permanent home here. Apart from its very convenient location between the coast and the mountains, one of Torrox's chief attractions is its climate which is said to be one of the best in Europe . With an average temperature of 18º C, it is certainly a very attractive proposition for year round living.

The main square or Plaza de la Constitucion is where you will find bars and cafes overlooked by the church. As you walk around the narrow streets you can follow a route defined by ceramic wall plaques which tell the story of the history of the village.
