Situation and Outside space
Situated in a tranquil, rural location close to the village of Corumbela, access to the house is by way of a 0.9km unmade road from the main road.
The beautiful well established gardens benefit from an irrigation system and include many olive and almond trees, an old wine press and a choice of secluded seating areas. There is also a barbeque area next to the house.
A lovely covered terrace/seating area directly outside the entrance to the house has a wooden beamed ceiling and ceiling fan.
Adjacent to the terrace area there is a useful storage/utility room (3.2m x 2.1m) which has plumbing for a washing machine and which houses an old bread oven.
Living space
The entrance to the main house is into the gorgeous living area, a really welcoming, comfortable room which has a sloping beamed ceiling and feature fireplace with a log burning stove.
The kitchen is adjacent to the living area and is accessed by a couple of steps. This room also has a sloping beamed ceiling, rustic style wooden units and is large enough to accommodate a dining table and chairs.
From the living area, a few more steps lead up to the bedroom suite and into the dressing room (3.9m x 2.6m) which has fitted wardrobes.
From the dressing room there is access to the shower room (2.6m x 1.4m) and a double bedroom (3.8m x 2.7m) which has air conditioning and patio doors leading out to a balcony from which the magnificent scenery can be enjoyed.
The entire house has been beautifully finished with fine attention to detail and the rustic style is repeated throughout with terracotta floor tiles and lovely wooden doors.
Adjoining the main house is the old stable which has been sympathetically converted into a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom annexe.
In the bedroom (3.3m x 3.0m) the old manger has been transformed into attractive shelving and in the large bathroom (3.7m x 3.4m) the original stone wall that forms part of the mountain side has been cleverly integrated into the room and makes a really eye catching feature.
Adjoining the annexe is a further storage room (2.2m x 1.5m). |
