Situation
Less than 15 minutes' drive from Competa and from Torrox and the coast, this property is easily accessible for you and for your guests. It comprises almost 10,000 square meters or 5 acres of gardens and wooded hillside on the edge of the Sierra Almijara Natural Park . The views are truly spectacular and reach down the valley to the Mediteranean, with the mountains behind. On clear days you can see the Riff Mountains of North Africa . The grounds here are very private and the property is an ideal base from which to walk the hill trails or visit the many local villages.

Outside space
Approached through gates into a drive leading up to the houses, the first impression is of greenery all around and the sound of the breeze in the pine trees. You have your very own wood to explore and also gardens planted with numerous trees and shrubs. These include algarrobo (carob), olive, almond, fig, nectraine and lemon. Paths that meander through the trees are lit at night giving a fairytale atmosphere.

Each part of the property, the main house, the guest villa and each of the wood cabins, has its own outdoor seating areas. The shared kidney shaped pool is situated between the main house and the villa and is surrounded by terraces with a covered barbeque and dining area.

The accommodation

Main house
This house is the home of the current owners but could of course be included as part of the rental business. It has the following accommodation:

A bamboo shaded terrace (14m²) leads to the entrance hallway and then to the open plan kitchen area (7m²), living room (20m²) and dining room (9m²). At the far end is an office (9.5m²) and on the left a hallway with useful built in cupboards takes you to the two bedrooms (11.7m² and 11m²),one of which is ensuite, and to the family bathroom.

In front of the living area is a 25m² sun lounge with doors at each end leading to the gardens and terraces.

Guest villa
This is on 2 levels and comprises, on the upper floor, a double bedroom (10m²) with ensuite shower, kitchen/sitting room (12m²) and balcony with 2 steps down to the swimming pool, sun terrace and barbecue. On the lower level are 3 further bedrooms (9.1m², 6.8m² and 6.2m²) and a shower room.

Log cabins
There are three log cabins, each comprising a bedroom (14m²) and shower room with its own terrace outside. There is also a fourth cabin (21m² currently providing a communal lounge and a kitchen for those guests who wish to self cater. This cabin has a large dining terrace for outdoor eating.
